Massachusetts was formed as a Commonwealth before the
United States, in order to become a group of citizens working for the
common good. In Massachusetts, there is so much potential for working
towards policies that make sense for both people, and the planet.
Massachusetts I want for my children narrows the economic gaps, and
provides opportunity to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexual
orientation, class, ethnicity, and ability. I want a Massachusetts which
is sustainable in its use of resources, and does not need to sacrifice
more of our state parks, or risk any more flooding in coastal cities for
short sighted economic gains.
As we in Massachusetts prepare for the 2014 elections, a new message of hope is long overdue. Our money should work to invest in our future that includes clean water, solid education, employment growth, and a banking system that is too good to fail.
